Tree Service in Anaheim, CA
Anaheim trims its public trees district by district, but yard trees are the owner's job. That is where our Anaheim tree service comes in, trimming and removing trees on your lot and telling you when one belongs to the city.
Tree care in Anaheim
Vineyards, then groves, then a city of shade trees
In Anaheim, the city cares for public trees and you care for the ones in your yard. The town began in 1857 when 50 German settlers planted vines by the river. It was the state's biggest wine area for 25 years, until disease killed the vines in 1884. Walnuts, lemons and oranges took over, and Disneyland opened in 1955 on 160 acres of groves. Today the Colony district keeps the lines of the first colony. The city trims about 6,000 trees a year, working district by district on a grid. Its TreePower program has handed out more than 50,000 free trees.
In Anaheim, the tree by the curb is the city's. The tree behind the walk is yours.

Who governs tree work in Anaheim
City of Anaheim
Tree work in Anaheim follows the City of Anaheim's rules. Street trees belong under the city's control, and no one may cut, trim, prune, plant, remove or spray a street tree without written permission from the city first; topping or damaging a street tree is not allowed (Anaheim Municipal Code 13.12.080). If you damage a street tree so that it must be replaced, you must remove and replace it within 30 days of the city's notice, and if you ask the city to work on a street tree for your own convenience, you pay the full cost. Rules change. Confirm current requirements with the jurisdiction before work begins — filing a permit is the property owner's responsibility, not ours.

The work
Anaheim yard trees: trimming, removal and stump grinding
Supreme Tree Experts trims, removes and grinds out the yard trees that Anaheim leaves to each owner. When a big tree on an older lot starts to drop limbs, Anaheim homeowners turn to Supreme Tree Experts.
Tree Removal

We take down yard trees across Anaheim, cutting them into sections when a house or fence sits close. A parkway tree is different, since no one may remove a street tree without the city's written permission. We check which side of that line yours stands on first.
Tree Trimming & Pruning

Anaheim yard trees get thinned and pruned by our crews, each cut made at a healthy side branch. The city trims about 6,000 public trees a year on a district grid, but yard trees wait for you. We time the cuts to the tree, not to a grid.
Stump Grinding & Stump Removal

Stumps in Anaheim yards get ground out under the surface, so grass or a new tree can take the spot. The grinder also follows the surface roots that lift lawns and edging. Leftover chips can mulch a bed or ride away on our haulers.
Palm Tree Trimming & Skinning

Dead fronds and heavy seed stalks come off yard palms, then we skin the old boots for a clean trunk. Tall palms standing behind older homes are reached from our lift truck. Fronds and stalks are chipped and hauled the same day.
Emergency Tree Service

If your own tree falls on the house, clearing it is your job, and our crew answers 24/7. For a city tree down, call 911 if anyone is in danger, or the city's urgent line at (714) 765-1900. We lift private limbs off roofs, cars and drives.
Tree Maintenance

Regular care means dead wood out, weak forks checked and roof limbs kept clear on a set cycle. Big trees behind older homes, like those in the Colony district, get the same close look each year. Small problems found early cost far less to fix.
Tree Height Reduction

Tall crowns are brought down with cuts back to side limbs, so the tree keeps its natural form. Anaheim bars topping on its curbside trees, and we never top yard trees either. Proper reduction keeps the shade while taking weight off the top.
Estate Tree Care

A wide lot full of mature trees gets one care plan, with each tree listed and checked in turn. Our own 75-foot boom trucks reach tall trees set far back from the road. The chipper and stump grinder come on the same trip.
Tree Shaping & Shrub Shearing

We shear hedges along front walks and side yards, and shape shrubs so paths stay open. Flat lots in full sun push fast new growth, so a steady cycle keeps each hedge in line. Every visit ends with the clippings raked up and gone.
Landscaping

We plan planting for flat yards here with the future tree in mind from the start. The city's TreePower rebate covers trees under 25 feet tall, set at least 8 feet from the house. We lay out beds and irrigation around those spots.
Hardscape

Walks, patios and borders are built on firm bases around the roots of mature yard trees. A damaged street tree must be replaced within 30 days of the city's notice. So near the curb, we keep all digging well back from it.

A free arborist visit, a family firm and our own trucks for Anaheim yards
Tree work goes wrong when it is rushed or under-equipped. We run our own 75-foot boom trucks, lift trucks, chippers and stump grinders, and every crew works under an ISA Certified Arborist — so the job gets done right the first time.
We hold California license #1002853 for both landscaping and tree and palm work, we are bonded, we carry general liability and every employee is on workers’ compensation.

ISA Certified Arborist
Anaheim leaves yard trees to the owner. An arborist visits for free, tells you which trees are yours and which the city looks after, and gives you a price.
Licensed, Bonded & Insured
In a city this big, ask to see the paperwork. Ours: state license #1002853, with C-61/D-49 for tree work and C-27 for landscaping. We carry a bond and insure every worker.
Southern California Since 1985
Our family started in 1985 — thirty years after the park opened on land that was orange and walnut groves. The business is still in the same family's hands.
Our Own Equipment
We own our boom trucks, which reach 75 feet. That clears tall trees behind older homes, and our chippers and grinders arrive on the same trip.
