Tree Service in the South Bay
The South Bay covers the beach cities, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Torrance, Lomita and San Pedro. We remove, trim and care for trees across all of it.
What trees in South Bay are up against
Wind off the ocean drives most tree work here. The onshore breeze carries salt, which burns the side of a tree that faces the sea. The tree then grows toward land and ends up heavy on one side. On the peninsula, parts of the ground move slowly, and trees on moving slopes can lean in ways that change how they must come down.
Street trees follow each city's own rules. Manhattan Beach only allows parkway pruning from September to March. Torrance uses its own list of approved contractors for street trees. Always check the town page first.

Tree questions from South Bay
Answers that apply across South Bay. Your town's page has its own rules. If yours is not here, call 877-787-7363 and ask.
Salt in the sea breeze kills buds on the ocean side, so the tree grows toward land. Over the years it becomes heavy on one side. Thinning and taking weight off the long side helps it stand up to storms.
Not always. Many South Bay cities control the trees between the sidewalk and the curb, and some limit who may work on them or when. Check your town's page below before booking.
If your town is on this page, yes. If it is not, call 877-787-7363 and ask. The visit to look at your tree is free, and our minimum for tree services is $600.
